Lateral thrusting during turns

I'm interested in opinions on applying lateral thrusters during turns.

Imagine we are performing a loop using pitch, pulling back on the stick while flying straight, resulting in a 'climbing' loop...

What is the impact of applying the top thruster (exerting downward force)?

What is the impact of applying the bottom thruster (exerting upward force)?

Does either improve you turning radius?

Thanks!

I bet it won't improve turn radius. If forward thrusters above worked in tandem with the rear thruster below, you would have the ship turn on a dime. Which it will, while standing still :p

I've tried to apply full force downward and upward, and seen that it does increase turning radius, but an enemy on your tail would easily see your moves and apply corrective thrusters.

Yes it does ive programmed the smaller buttons on my t1600 with those an use them constantly.

Which way do you thrust in the scenario above?

I use all 4 constantly and throttle back and forth quite quickly so its a bit vague to answer your question.
It's not only shortening the curve but also placing myself exactly on your six. Its like flying with 2 joysticks at once.
I must amid I do have got most experience with ai because I had connection problems quite some time.
But watching twitch I notice that im usually earlier out of the curve or not following the curve at all but just lowering or raising my ship to keep them on the bead.
Practice makes perfect of course.
Seen battlestar galactica? Thats how I think it looks externally.

Turn off FA roll on your axis and hit boost when you straighten off and then you'll see that for sure :)

With FA on its far too "corrected" to look quite like the moves in BSG.

Probably so
Its just the feeling it is giving me
I stll haven't seen a vid of myself.
But we will see.
19th ill be receiving FTTH I wonder if that would place me between the Scottish pilots and have my brother shooting me on cam.
Right now latency is too high I think.
