Enjoy :D

At 1:52 we have some barrels exploding. Maybe new type of mission? With continuous progress?

I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky!

Nice trailer! :)

Stuff I noticed:

- 0:08 the player character stands in the ship. Spacelegs confirmed?
- 0:15 Asteroid base
- 0:46 New Capital Ship, maybe a Generation Ship
- 1:27 multi-crew with faces and rank customization on the spacesuit.

Very cool.

Not trying to be snarky (well, maybe just a little) but where's that game? I want to play it! :p

Seriously though, I know it's just a cinematic trailer, but the overwhelming impression I get from that is that there's huge squadrons and areas with large groups of player interaction. When in reality, much of elite feels alone and desolate. (yeah, i know, it's space, i get it)
I guess what I'm saying is I would love to see some large group co-op battles similar to what's represented in the vid. Unfortunately, any time you do get into an instance with others there's the overwhelming feeling of "ok, who's gonna try and gank me??"

Ah well, still a really cool video. Especially the asteroid bases part. Please tell me those will be player owned. :)

It might be something what we can expect in the future. Elite is still young. Only 2 years out of 10.. There is still much to come.

They didnt learn the NMS lesson.

I don't think it's quite at that level. Sean Murray flat out lied.
The vid just gives an impression of a bit more there than there actually is. (but hey, it's a sales trailer, again, i get it)
I mean technically you could create a huge battle around some carrier class chips. But it would take a ton of coordination between a bunch of friends to pull that off. It's not something you just stumble across in the game.

It's extremely well done.

However it gives the impression that ED is something that it isn't -- an action MMO.

There could be a lot of disappointed new players if they expect mass battles and seeing lots of other ships all working together.

It's a lovely trailer, great cinematic shots (and I wonder how they got some of them!), but it doesn't represent ED very well, in my opinion.

I'm gonna watch it again though. :)

Yep, if they add combat zones with four capital ships in the same spot + spacelegs inside cockpits and character customization before the PS4 version launches then the trailer is accurate enough.

ED has enough action though not as epic as the massive battles and fleets in the trailer. If they add Conflict Zones with the level of intensity and epic scale of the trailer, that's good enough.

Bowcens "Hollow". :)

And initially looks like a station, but those thrusters. Not facing the planet. In Shinrarta. Not mass locked, maybe just out of range.
