When pressing the "Launch" button in the launcher, it would be nice if one could define somewhere in settings, the names of a set of other EXEs which would be launched before actually launching E: D. That way, one could automatically launch a specific set of external tools (like -for instance- Captain's log) before launching E: D.

Might be a little old-school but can't you just do this with a batch file? Is it important that your external apps are launched from the ED launcher instead of with the launcher?
