launcher says purchase instead of start

I bought the game on steam today and I have the same problem, the play button has the text to buy the game not to play, the only option that is enabled is to play the training demo but it does not work, my account is linked to steam, I have restarted several times steam and my pc and the problem is not solved. Can anybody help me please?

Can you check whether the authorisation / link of account has worked? Go to your account's "user portal" page - https://user.frontierstore.net/ - and when you have logged-in look to see what it says in the Authorised Applications page, it should look like mine (below) if you have successfully linked the account.

Anyone who bought ED from steam after April of this year has to utilize Steams Launcher. ED's launcher will no longer work on a steams account for anyone who purchased after April like those who purchase prior to April. Thus if you have Steam and ED accounts, you'll need both launcher's. Again if you bought it from steam after April.

Thank you, i only use Steam launcher.

Thak you, I loged into my account "user portal" and i cant see ED under autorized Applications, how can i autorize it?.

That's the problem - as far as I know the only way is as detailed in the FAQ 485 :


If you can't find a way of seeing the launcher as per that FAQ then I can only suggest you raise a support ticket (although maybe try what is in another FAQ (277) if possible).
