Launcher stuck on "preparing for update"

Hi guys

Has there been an update, launching the game just now it appears stuck on "preparing for update". Progress bar is maxed out but nothing happening??

I'm not using the steam edition if that helps.

ha lmao - it just has and now is syncing files..........yes I am a noob and this is obviously a common issue!
