Launching coaster backwards?

I have built a roller coaster in game and have designed it to replicate a real life roller coaster I have seen, I was wondering how or if it is possible to make the roller coaster launch backwards rather than forwards? in real life it move a tiny bit forward before shooting backwards up a incline before then falling down and going forward onto the rest of the track.

You could basically do this with the Torque coaster type's Dual Direction LIM. It will stop the train, then launch it backwards. However it is designed to have the train return and launch it through the same LIM forwards afterword.

I tried this and for some reason everytime it went back into the starting point it would stop rather than carrying on through.

Oh, interesting.. I assume you have it going through the station then? I've not tried that myself, but a quick search seems to show that it does behave that way.. Hmm too bad.. Perhaps it will be fixed in the future... :(

If you can't do a single circuit coaster I dont understand the point of the two way launch... Doesn't have any practical purpose to me on a full circuit coaster.

I've seen a few Youtube videos of the two-way launch system in place.. Of all the videos I've seen of it in action, it doesn't seem practical at all.
