Horizons Launching Horizons

I am still only launching the base game from the default icon on my desktop. I have loaded the DLC for Horizons but have no other icon. I have searched in the game folder and with the windows search bar to locate another launcher.
How do you launch the horizons DLC? The crew lounge is still saying horizons required.

That said, if you've bought and downloaded Horizons then you should see, next to the Play button at the bottom of the Elite Dangerous launcher window, a list of game options. One of those should be "Elite: Dangerous Horizons (64 bit)" or something like that. Select that before pressing Play.

Actually i have the season pass installed is there a separate horizons DL? When searching in steam under Elite Dangerous the Season pass is the only other one to come up.

I posted the following in the support thread for this (apologies for duplicating):

Sounds like a Steam key registration issue fixed by going here:

basically, you need to let Frontier know you bought Horizons - so you have to register that key with Frontier (I think).

If you've redeemed Horizons on to your Frontier account, you'll need to make sure that you're selecting to launch Horizons on the launcher (there's a drop down).
