Hi i have been playing elite for years and i got the game through Steam. I got my grandson elite again through his steam account. He has decided that elite is not for him so i would like to use his elite profile as my alt. Can i launch his profile from my launcher? do i have to set up a new windows user profile on my PC and get his steam login and run it that way. It would be easier to do it from my launcher if possible. Probably not explained it well but hopefully someone will understand and help TY.

Launching Second Elite profile

As far as I know, you can only have one ED "profile" (commander) per Steam (or Frontier) account. You will have to switch to your grandson's Steam login to play the second commander. You may also need access to the email account he used when setting up the Frontier link on his Steam account.
The alternative would be to ask Frontier support if they can convert your grandson's account to a Frontier-only account. That would require an additional purchase directly from Frontier though.

You could also look into MinEDLauncher I use it for 2 Frontier accounts and 1 Steam account. I don't know if it will work for separate Steam accounts, but it's worth looking into.TY I have got access to his steam account and it is up and running so will stick with that
