Horizons Lava spouts, Needle Crystals and Rare mats

I took a rare passenger mission today which took me to some lava spouts, around which were a load of mineral deposits - piceous cobbles, Crystalline Clusters and Needle Crystals. Shooting the former yielded common stuff like sulphur and carbon, the middle lot produced zinc and molybdenum but shooting Needle Crystals popped out Technetium every time - one big lump counting as 3. I found 4 deposits, so got 12, which is very nice since I'm after some Sturdy Mount upgrades.

The location was HIP 35755 7 A, lava spouts by the way.

Does anyone know what else they might drop, in other places? It certainly saves a huge amount of driving time, looking for Metallic meteorites...

I have found Arsenic in crystals at the lava spouts at Upsiclon Phoenicis. cant remember the planet though.

actually the material composition of the planet tells you, what they will give... people where farming jump-mats in that way for the jaques rare CG.

Just look at the System Map description for the Planet. These will be the Materials you'll get.
(Needle Crystals for Grade 4/5 Elements, Crystalline Clusters for Grade 2/3 Elements and Pebbles/Cobbles for Grade 1 Elements).

Thanks chaps :) I'll pay more attention to passenger mission descriptions from now on. They seem to be a really nice way of loading up on rares without having to wrestle with the wave scanner.

I have more Arsenic than I could even need just prospecting a few planets near Jameson Memorial. I actually had terrible luck with the crystals and lava spouts.
