Community Event / Creation Lave Chat & Stockmarket

Hi Guys,

For a bit of fun I've created a chat room, hosted on the Lave Radio website. It also includes a little stock market mini-game based on a Frontier: Elite 2 theme. You can trade different commodities while you hang out with fellow Elite fans.

It's very basic and it's never going to be much more than a simple web application, but any feedback is welcome.

yeah great chat, had a nice talk with Allen Stroud about a few things, one little qualm the price of animal meat and animal skins are always the same price

but other than that the stockmarket works great too

just need more people to join now.................

What SImo means,is that both Animal Meat and Skins are always matching in price, they are essentially on the same price model.

Thanks John. I gave it a go, but it didn't seem to happy with Opera. I don't know if it was just my impatience but it took quite a long time to respond. This was after I was mucking about with zoom because I like big text on my screen. It's my eyesight<sigh>.

I have, after the update, chat descends to the lowest reported

I've put some bug fixes live. We have a couple of issues about particular commodities (Animal Meat & Animal Skins), but it's pretty stable.

Some people have already made enough money that they can now afford to trade in narcotics!

And the first thing the military fuel did was plunge in price.

Not a happy fuel buyer.

you have to wait for it to cycle , I missed out on hydrogen fuel, but made a tidy profit over 10 credits per unit on military fuel

People who are leery of PVP should try this.

Its a great example of how much more fun something can be playing against real people, especially something like this that would be a bit maaahh if it were only against the computer. (Sorry JS I'm loving it honest)

Of course there are no griefers or pirates, but wait until I set up my cartel
