Newcomer / Intro Lave Comms - making Lave and surrounding systems a safer place.

As Lave is beginning to get a lot more attention of late - we have set up a TeamSpeak server so all who are travelling through Lave and surrounding systems, can connect, get latest pirate news and even ask for help (if needed).

If you would like to help others, need help your self or just want a chat - jump up on teamspeak and say Hi!

Lave Comms server details:
IP: 54.77.137.46
Password: seruthic

If you do not know what TeamSpeak is - more info and download here:
http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=teamspeak3

Even though we are concentrating on Lave and other surrounding systems, we are not limiting ourselves to this location.
If you needs such a service in other systems, just let us know.

This is a new development that we hope will grow with the community so it needs your support.

I might join in this for the fun when I'm on next. Fully upgraded Viper with no sense of self preservation at your service.

I have a python, i am already a part of this too, so come guys lets get together to defend the needy.

It was nice to meet you and the other gent tonight..I will be back later today when I have more time with my Viper...you guys rock for doing this!

A good idea, I'll join you all tonight.

... i keep thinking of thunderbirds, international rescue for some reason ...

Been out on a long-range nebula tour for the past couple weeks, heading back within the week I think. Once I'm safely home (in Leesti), the Knife's Edge (my viper) is ready for patrol. Looking forward to joining up soon!

Lave Radio already has a TS server, which a lot of the ED Community already use.

Laveradio.Teamspeak3.com

We also broadcast our weekly show on Tuesdays - http://www.laveradio.com we've been going a since March 2013 and get around 4000 downloads per episode.

Maybe you'd be better linking this idea up with us?

Oh thanks for the thread hijack - nice work!

All who replied above - your very much welcome to come join us - any time :)
The TS server is set up for all to use - feel free to use it how you wish, even if your not using it to battle pirates in lave :)

Haha - Indeed, well as long as I'm not miss penny then all is good!

Cheers. Yeah we've only been around since March 2013 and run an annual convention for Elite players which had nearly three hundred attendees in 2014...

Enjoy and fly safe...;)

Wow! 300 - so if your that successful why try and muscle in on someone else's thread, how rude.

We hope to cover more than just Lave - we have a network of TS servers for a few other Rares most visited systems (as they get the most pirate attention) we hope the network will grow.
More the merrier!

*shrugs* I was suggesting you link up with us, we promote TS servers on the podcast and always support community things, but if you want to see it that way, enjoy your thread.

I can only see it how it is written, looks like your promoting your own TS server, no? if not why put up the details?

Ours or yours doesn't really matter to me. Neither you nor I is trying to sell stuff via TS and enforce a certain type of play, which is what the last bunch were doing.

I was trying to point out there's been stuff going on with Lave since the end of the KS as it means a lot to people. Your idea isn't new, but good luck with it. Am sure you'll have fun.

Ok, lets take a look at your post...

"Lave Radio already has a TS server, which a lot of the ED Community already use." Oh so we can't set up a ts server then?

"Laveradio.Teamspeak3.com" Nice Plug! Care to take over the thread?

"We also broadcast our weekly show on Tuesdays - http://www.laveradio.com we've been going a since March 2013 and get around 4000 downloads per episode." Good for you - relevant to this thread topic?

"Maybe you'd be better linking this idea up with us?" We'd be better? We can't manage on our own? We can't do something too?

All reads to me like your trying to belittle us and what we are doing, which I find very sad... For a wordsmith, this was intentional...

Seemed to me he was offering to help you out. I honestly don't get possessiveness of TS servers, I've seen this come up a few times with different people. What's the advantage to HOSTING a ts-server?

PS. That wasn't sarcasm, I honestly don't get it.
