Lave Radio Episode 10 & Writer Interview 08

Lave Radio Episode 10 LIVE

After a bit of a bumpy entry due to a certain technician leaving a wrench in Johns editing machine last night, the double digit Episode has landed.
Chris Jarvis returns to help us cover more Elite Dangerous news such as the DDF happenings and the newsletter. Allen Stroud flirts with the dangerous topic of PvP - We have a special feature spot starring some of Lave Radio's youngest listeners. We have adverts, we have a mad scientist, and if that wasnt enough we have a blooper real that highlights the need to read your script out loud to yourself before committing it to the airwaves!

Once again please leave us iTunes reviews, it helps us stay visable on the new and noteworthy page and gives all the presenters a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Contact us on Twitter or facebook about this episode or simply leave us a comment here.

Writer Interview 008 - Kate Russell - Mostly Harmless LIVE

Kate Russell flys in all the way from Planet Slough to talk to 2nd Tech Fozza about her love of Elite and Douglas Adams, her none love for cheap champagne and of course her upcoming Elite Novel: Mostly Harmless.

*Apologies for the dip in audio quality on this one, Fozza upgraded the systems on the Sidewinder prior to recording in order to ensure it was the "bestest quality we can do!" and the idiot left his wrench in the audio feedback junction box.

All working now for future episodes..

Another fantastic episode, especially Drew interviewing his kids, fabulous.

Also laughed till my sides hurt at the out-takes, how could you make such a hash of a simple term describing someone who fixes problems in code.

Lastly only a handfull of tickets left for LaveCon!!!
If people want to go and meet all those celebrities that are now going they better get themselves organised quickly!! :D:cool:

Awesome episode again, guys, well done indeed!!

So it's special if people leave PMs or review on iTunes, but not if people comment on the numerous threads? I'm shocked.

I may not comment any more and keep my happy ramblings to myself.

And I want to know who's posting on fozza's behalf now that his physical presence has been scattered to the four winds.

Oh, and who was the composer for the musical piece at the end? Allen didn't mention it.

It does and we like reading them here. Only it does not keep us in the new and noteworthy section which goes on downloads and reviews..

The longer we stay in that section the more we can spread the word about Elite.

We have no adverts or any monetization involved in the show its purely to tell as many people about Elite as possible. (We've all been doing it for years only now we have something to tell them !)

:D

Oh and stories of my demise may have been greatly exaggerated. ;)

I don't use iTunes, so comments here are far more special.

Chris chose it. There was a little intro recorded. I guess it missed John's cut. We'll recap in the next episode.

Writer interview recorded, I can now reveal that talking to Fozza in the Space Bar this evening was none other than the Mostly Harmless Author:
Kate Russell

:)

Now in post production.

Great show again.

Would I be right in saying that the hapless recruit in the Federal navy recruitment ad was none other than pyskokow? The end of it is probably what will happen to him at Lavecon when Michael Brookes and Kate Russell find him:D

the sudden I have the village pwople - in the navy in my head.....
:D

OOOH PArody has been sparked.... Down at Lavecon,

You can get yourself a drink
Down at Lavecon

The bloopers were spectacular!

Thought about interviewing my girls after hearing Drew's boys on the show, but it would have limited interest, I think. "You are old and boring, Dad. Who is interested in flying stupid space ships anyway?".

And it would be in dutch...

Might get the oldest to listen to Commander Thane though. See if she likes it. They both have dyslexia as well (probably not as bad as Mark, because they both read a lot), so could be an interesting thing to try.

A++++++++++++ Kate am now very much looking forward to your book, have you opened pre-orders??

I missed most of the author kickstarters and I have been able to catch some later and pre-order others..

I can't even read!!!

Betcha glad I didnt get a chance to grab any of your 'input' pledges.. death by Brussell Sprout. :D

Loved the interview great job... and really looking forward to Mostly Dangerous when it comes out *cough*
