Not to steal anyones thunder in creating this thread and I'm quite happy for anyone to take over the OP and add info/links for the event but I have a few queries and there isn't a thread for 2017 yet so I made one!

So I missed out on a overnight stay ticket, seems they disappear within seconds. My nearest safe harbour is 1hr 30min drive away which is what I did last year. Biggest downside is no alcohol, and I have to leave early & arrive late. Costs less for the petrol than a nearby hotel for which I'd probably have to drive anyway.
Now I am undecided between "same again" and "camping option available soon". I'd have to buy/borrow a tent but it'd mean I could stay, drink and join in the earlier and later stuff which I missed last time.

Now my questions:
1) Lan tickets, can they be bought with day memberships, I kinda assume so since the stay overnight isn't on offer anymore but if I do go for my 1hr 30min drive away could I potentially use the lan ticket in conjunction with bronze day passes?

2) Organising/Volunteering, I assume the Hutton Truckers have it all sown up as they were so awesome last year and presumably will be the same again but if there's anything I can get involved with someone can fire me a PM and I'd be happy to help. If I did help out I'd aim to get a camping ticket and be there Fri afternoon to close of play sunday.

3) Events. Not sure if anything is still open on the agenda or anything that would fit nicely with what's already planned but I'd love to help out if anything is going off that I can get involved with, assuming I go LAN pass and bring my rig I could get involved in events as a participant in-game. Whatever really, I kinda dropped the ball on the whole overnight stay thing, those things vanished like a Thargoid into Witchspace.

4) Thoughts on my plan. I'm thinking at current either bronze day passes and drive out/in every day or go for camping + Lan. Very undecided tbh.

Anyway, definitely going to be there in some capacity assuming RL doesn't bite me. :)

Thanks for posting Alex. I'm not a frequent frequenter of the forums at the moment, but I'll try to reply to your questions.

The overnight tickets are not yet all sold. Karen said when she took these down it was to calculate numbers as they were selling faster than we could keep track off. They will go back up tomorrow morning.

Yep, these are on sale. You need a ticket to go with them. They are included in Platinum.

The form has been posted on the Facebook group for volunteers. If you want to volunteer, email admin@hwsevents.co.uk

Some activities are planned, but there is room for more ideas. Please do email us.

Amazingly quick and very helpful. Thanks a lot! I will see where I stand in a few days then.

I'm too far away to ever attended a LAVECON. :(

But I found something to have a look at and maybe invite[ ? if not done so already].
LHS Bikeshed

Looks definitely awesome.

Fly safe.

Hmmm, I distinctly remember last year there was a cockpit set-up company who do customised setups with HOTAS/Chair & buttons integrated into one. Can't remember the name or find a picture though, they were setup in the LAN room.

@Allen, Thanks for your help, meant to come back here. Got myself Hotel on the Friday, camping the rest of the weekend and a Lan + Ambassadors lunch ticket. With travel it all works out quite expensive but I can't wait :D

I've decided against volunteering this year but have a mini-event/Activity I would very much like to run with some fellow Fuel Rats support. I dropped an e-mail to admin@hwsevents.co.uk so will see how that goes!
