Lavian Brandy only spawning in increments of ONE

So I need 200 units of Lavian Brandy to meet Didi Vaterman... only able to get 1 Lavian Brandy every 10 minutes... Am I the only one that thinks having to spend 33 hours sitting at a station is a little ridiculous?

End of whine.

I started a thread several months ago asking for pathetic spawns and the 10 minutes periods of doing nothing to be changed. All I got was abuse. For some reason I can't understand most players like waiting in a station for ten minutes, with no way of affecting pathetic spawn rates.

What is the state of the system?
Is there a famine, bust, lockdown, or war that might be disrupting production
This is in effect in the BGS now

There are no active states for the faction controlling the station. Only thing pending is boom.

The allotment seemed to be bumped to 2 this morning before work. When I got back home it is back down to 1.

I noticed that I cannot take more than 10 in total. I was starting with 2 and got additional 2 every 10 minues, but after reaching 10 it stops (was waiting vor 30 min).

I was able to bring 40 units to Didi, because I had much time to idle yesterday. But it is very frustrating and ridicioulus IMO. 100 units I could understand but 200 is way too much. For me this is typcal content blocking, so that you cannot unlock all engineers too soon. So I will level Didi only if I have time to idle and nothing better to do.

Im sure I saw a wAr in Lave last night. I had the same problem and I switched to missions for something to do. Picked up a blow the generator of our enemy mission for someone. I'm sure I read they were at war. May have been in the system I travelled too.

Lots of collect ancient artifact missions too which I haven't seen for a while.

The supply is limited because the faction is in conflict in another system. With how spread out the faction is, they'll always be in conflict somewhere without active management.

I posted this in another thread, but AEDC is undertaking an operation to restore the supply of Lavian Brandy in order to help with unlocking Didi. We have a lot of experience with tracking and managing factions spread to multiple systems, and we feel this is a good way to help the community. Unlocking engineers is hard enough without adding in supply issues.

I'll be posting updates here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=237033

So working as intended. Cool! Surely the traders want active/re-active markets that dynamically change rather than easy money from the same infinitely supplied trade route? that would be like Robigo mines. Isn't the fun in watching the market and knowing when it's time go on "the hunt" for new routes?

Yeah, this isn't about trading. This is about Frontier severely limiting access to an Engineer by presenting players with a massive, tedious grind-wall. Read the [REDACTED] OP sometime, it might help.

Edit: Some people like to make reliable money. Your fun isn't everyone else's fun.

OR changing the regime of a system

Read the replies sometime, as it's not Fdev it's the BGS working as intended and a group is already in motion to change it.

The fact that a group needs to change it to make the grind anywhere near reasonable is the problem, one that you seem to be ignoring. Individual grinds shouldn't have to rely on other people to be completed.

blablabla grind blabla
just do some missions get into the story focus less on the mechanics and if you don't want to do that go find some other rare goods (or use one of the many spreadsheets online if you need to play that way). How many systems are there out there?

I would argue that you have missed the point. To get these items (Rares that had a low spawn rate to begin with) the players have to play the game, recognize what economic event is happening and counter it by doing things in the game. And you can contribute as an individual or as a group. Almost every activity can have an impact on the BGS in a system. And besides there are other ways to obtain Lavian Brandy besides buying it on the commodities market.

Yeah, that's why I spent five hours last night in the nearest anarchy system, interdicting traders and scanning them. Not one had rares of any sort.

Once again, you've missed the point entirely. I don't care about any other rares. I need, specifically, Lavian Brandy to unlock this engineer. Lave Station is the only station that sells it, period. They only sell it two at a time, every ten minutes, for a maximum of ten in your hold at once. Therefore, it takes almost an hour just to get those ten. 50 minutes * 20 = 1000 minutes, or 16 hours and 40 minutes. That's not counting the time it'd take to travel between Lave and the engi's base (admittedly not long), which seems small but can add up quickly.

Lave is not the only system experiencing rares issues.
.
Diso is handing out Ma Corn one (1) per refresh. Lave was at two (2) for me yesterday. But, other systems have handed out more than their normal allotment in one shot. I trade rares fairly regular and I can tell something has changed in more than just one system.
.
So far, its been feast or famine. I'm on a rares run now and will see what else awaits me at my normal watering holes.
.
GL Have fun and all that good stuff
.
Oh, sorry OG, I just noticed your post ... I saw the first page and let another comment fly from the hip w/o reading everything.

you can allways wait and do something else while 'others' deal with the minor power and then get back to it...no rush is there?
