Nope, I won't stick around the arrival star more than I need to. Fuel is cheap and I have more than enough cash.

I always ship as a habit, even with no scoop on. But y ships always have the largest A rate they can fit, or at least more often than not, so I never need to do more than skim string to the next jump or location.

i often automatically stay in scoop range if i enter a new system to check system map and stations etc...
but yes. there was this episode where fuel-price per ton scaled with ship size, and half a tank from my conda costed 16M or such.... that time everyone scooped at stars and noboy used station services.... wierd episode that was.
Any "maximum range" setting really.
