Leap Motion Support Later Would Be Great! :)

It's a pain to have to take off your goggles to find the keyboard to do some keyboard shortcuts. Would be great in the future if there was leap motion support for pushing virtual buttons in the game. I appreciate it's probably the last thing on your wish list, but just wanted to throw it out there. :)

Thanks, and keep up the fantastic work!

In regards to this, while I agree that having Leap Motion integration would be epic (to move the commander's hands to the UI in order to "button press"), the developer of Voice Attack is doing R&D on dictation. This would allow us to type with voice commands.

I wish Dragon would release a consumer "gaming" version that would include dictation and macro commands at a consumer level price point.. as we don't really need all of that "other stuff" they put in to drive the price up. I'm sorry, but I cannot justify spending $600 on a software application that will, one day, be had for $8

I found the leap motion to be a bit flakey but others have said it was great so perhaps it is a problem on my end. By flakey I mean that it sometimes lost one of my hands and had difficulty in telling if I had flipped my hand upside down even with the latest beta software. Personally, I'd wait for Oculus themselves to come up with an input device as I'm sure that they are working on this. That little panel between your knees in ED is definitely there for a reason though

Tbh.....

Tbh, with the leap motion I've found it to be somewhat patchy at best but the Gamewave app makes using it in a game so much easier.

what I'll try to set up is a simple hand orientation recognition config that I can use to control the ship in flight. Hand up/down/left/right for thrusting, angle the palm up or down to nose up/down, twist the hand left/right to turn and roll the hand over to barrel roll the ship left or right.

then slap on the oculus rift for free look mode and have the mouse cover all the button pressing, throttle and gun control in the game....

K.
