In the process of buying 60 imperial hammers to store in ships so I can leave my faction, I've found out the hard way you can only have 24 at a time at a station before the game literally says, you have too many lol.
WHYYYYYY Now I have to transfer them to various places to finish buying my 60 hammers

Is there a specific reason why you need 60?

This is the second time I've had to re-rank up with this faction because originally I had 10 hammers, the result was occasionally the game will kick you out or not let you rebuy the hammers when sold and swap ships, to quickly buy them back when out of a faction, the end result is I ran out of hammers over time and now buying 60 of the little buggers should result in me not having to join this faction for a much longer time.

Alright, i usually have around 8 each of my weapons and stay pledged for Prismatic. Never had that problem.

I'm constantly changing builds and testing ideas which is partly why my parts buying is about to hit 4bil lol...
It's an old habit from playing the armored core games in pvp, spending hours or days testing builds just to find out on paper they look good but in practice they are worse than dirt.

When would you ever need 10 hammers? No ship has more than 8 hardpoints. And you can move the hammers from ship to ship.

I mean I've reused the same 6a prismatic for about 6 months now across like 5-6 different ships.

I run multiple versions of a ship, for example 3 different FDL's, quad rail for burst, all lasers for efficiency, and the third for play testing just to give you a few examples.

Yeah, I agree with this.

I have several ships that I have multiples of, just because it makes life easier. I have 3 Asps, for example. Smuggle, explorer, and general purpose, all different enough that I'd rather not keep re-outfitting.

Anaconda and FDL, I will also shortly be getting multiples of.

I'll probably do the same for the iCourier. I'm going to have one outfitted with prismatic shields and 3 x hammers, just for the lols. No idea if I can even power a ship like that, but it'll be fun! the other one will be set up for short range smuggling, and perhaps one more light build for canyon racing.

Plenty of good reasons to have multiples of the same ship, not to mention the same weapon...
