Uäh uäh mommy, someone didnt dock like he was supposed to, and because i dont use shields i got splattered all over the wall, uäh, ban nerf, blablargh.
Seriously, if i ever encounter you ill boost right into your loot pinate and smear the inside of your cockpit right over the whole station.

lol i dock like this and its hilarious to watch people flee in fear of my type 9 flying in going 250 kph. Got max shields just for that purpose to smear lil sidewinders and eagles when they get in my way.

Commiserations on the loss. I know it hurts...took one myself to an NPC Fed Drop Ship.
Coupla things though -
1) Learn to post dipspring
....being offensive and hostile won't win you much love...if your angry don't post
2) I would be interested to hear if anyone else has lost a Lakon 6 with Shields to 4 pips hitting a cobra...in beta/gamma...6's would demolish a cobra in a head on....irrespective of the speed (if a cyclist hits a wall....doesnt matter if its the cyclist or the wall doing 100...its bad for the cyclist).

why thank you for your constructive comment. I was using full shields and travelling slowly whilst carrying a valuable cargo. My initial post was in anger as I previously pointed out but that doesn't mean I'm not annoyed by the incident. It was avoidable and shouldn't have happened.
I am so glad there are players such as yourself using this game.

hmm, you have given me a tip. I suallay keep my engine on 4 pips but will change that on docking to shields, didn't even think of that one so thanks.

4 pips in a type 9 will splatter just about anything with 0 to minimal damage. So 6 in a 6 will probably do the same to vipers/cobra's.
Sigh, I just replyed with a post on an insurance change/fix/solution, but FD didn't like a word I used and it all got wiped, awesum, so i'll make this quick......
80 - 100 speed limit, set from just past the end of the adverts kinda distance. If a crash and death happens and you where travelling within/lower than the speed limit then you dont pay out for new ship, the booster/speeder pays theirs and your insurance bills. Not enforced tho, so if you want to risk it and boost in for smuggling reasons etc then that's your choice.
Personally I don't play open play cos of the naff insurance rules around the letter box, really don't have the time for grifers etc. I can forgive noobs that hit the boost button by mistake ofc. If they made a few simple changes like this I would only play in open play.

Dont get me wrong, I would hate this if it happened to me, but (sorry you wont like this) isnt this part of the game? You get good and bad drivers in real life, it stands to reason you will get the same in space! I like the randomest of having players make mistakes and what that can and does cause us all? I understand that this isnht what some others want / like , but this game is so openended as in do what you want and how you want, that we will all at times cause other players issues and they will cause us issues! - says the man that since launch wont venture very far from his starting station, as until I have mastered docking and launching I dont feel its fair or right to go further out.

I learned this lesson myself. I used to jump straight to pushing 'Launch' from underneath until the time I got stuck in one of these situations and almost didn't make it out. Now I go up top and take a good look around before launching.
