Leaving a Power: do you retain access to the special weapon for purchase?

Not sure if PP has been out long enough for an answer to my question, but I was wondering if any knows what happens to access to the special weapon for each power if you choose to leave?

Gather you will keep access to them if you have already purchased and equipped to your ship, but do you also still have access to buy them afterwards if you needed more? Or can you only buy when you are rank 3 and part of a power?

Also, are they purchasable anywhere, or only at the power's capital for example?

Just thinking ahead to prepare if I need to stock up

Nope, you can't buy them once you have left the power. You do get them back with insurance though. For now.

Does this mean you also need to maintain the Rank 3, or if you have reached Rank 3 in the past you can still buy if you are with a power?

I am hoping for the sake of reasons like you posted they make stocking up like you said as impossible by making if you have a bunch of them stored on another ship and defect from the power then if you sell them to xfer them to main ship you wont be able to buy back

Not 100% sure about this, but it would make sense to lose the right to buy if you lose the rank. I would think it's a simple check: do you have rank 3 with power X - yes / no.

You're right, seems logical to have it that way rather than having it as a unlock once kinda thing. I couldn't find any confirmation though, but will come clear in another few weeks I guess.

The DB Explorer is going to be a good storage ship I think with its low cost and M & L slots.

I think it would make sense if you could keep it but was unable to buy it again or store it for later. That way it would still be possible to collect them, but it would be too limited to really abuse it.
