I am constantly, accidentally switching between Standard and Alternate Flight Controls which is really frustrating, is there anywhere in the options where I can disable the toggle and just stick to Standard?

You could set alternate controls to be the same as standard [wacky]

IDK, but you could also reprogram the alt controls to be the same as standard so it wouldn't matter which you use.

There was a time I'd have agreed with you, but now (finally) I'd hate to lose the ability to switch.
I do have a solution, but it's as cheeky as the rest of the tat I post: Lose some weight off your thumbs.

buy elite controller, assign it to lower left paddle, leave paddle off, job done.

I also did this with looky roundy right click and its so much better than suddenly looking here there and everywhere in the middle of a fight

I only have to switch between free look and thrusters..

I have my "pitch on low roll" activated... works like a charm

I'm constantly doing that when in combat. It's annoying and I don't usually notice until I'm done shooting things. But I use alternate controls every once in awhile, when I'm taking screenshots with the classified camera or when I didn't quite line up my ship on the landing pad just right.

Y'all might wanna check the classic controls.. Not sure, but i think most of the GPP players are using this. I honestly never have to use alterative controls for movement finetuning.. i can do it all with my left thumbstick
