This is a ridiculous game mechanic. No weapon should retain a illegal status after we go to interstellar factors and clear our fines. I have a few weapons in storage that were removed from ships at a time when I had a fine in another system and now they are all illegal. And it will cost millions to clean them all. That's bogus. I'm clean. Any stored weapons should be as well. Why aren't my other ships dirty if I flew them dirty. Your legal system makes NO sense.
