Legally Pay off Small Bounties

Im not a great player, average I would say. I have a hotas and I do use FA off. When im firing away with my fixed weapons the police ARE stupid enough to get in front of me WHILST I am firing (I dont fire if the police are already in front of me). Previously I would get a small bounty, dock, pay off. Now it is a monumental faff in my short jump ship. Anyway, FF in particular has been dealt with above.
The OP is simply asking for small bounties to be payable locally (less than 1k?) - that isnt enough for murder to be let off. that is a smack on the wrist but one which must be addressed quickly (you dont want to go above the 1k or its IF only to pay the bounty) so it does force you to stop what you are doing and rectify before the bounty gets larger and more of an issue to pay off.
In short, a "buffer" (I picked 1k as a small amount, maybe 800CR is more appropriate, cannot say) able to pay off at the local station rather than trek to an IF for tiny bounties.

Yes, what you just described is a fine. You can pay off a fine locally, a bounty is more serious.
Can you give examples of crimes that you would want to have changed, and how much their bounty currently is?
This is probably impossible but one way to help players would be to limit the bounty being handed to more than one second worth of firepower of your ship misplaced into a friendly. A second may seem a short time but actually we react sooner, yet still too late under current rules.

Totally agree. Whilst I like the C&P changes, it's quite annoying when an unwanted/unscanned ship flies in front of you and you get a bounty.
2 days ago I was attacking a wanted gunship's belly. It launched an SLF & I got a 400CR bounty. The fact that I've just racked up 13 million CR unclaimed bounties killing pirates is irrelevant as far as the authorities are concerned.
As I am currently in an Annie, I had to manually check neighboring low sec systems for a large landing pad. After checking 8 systems, I gave up and looked one up on Inara. A slight inconvenience.
