Legend of Grimrock 2

Completed this game today, and it's every bit as awesome as the original, only expanded in many ways.

It's an indie puzzle game / dungeon crawler where you see the world in first person as you move around as your party, but it's tile-based so you move one tile at a time. It's very similar to old-school dungeon crawlers such as Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder and Lands of Lore.

If you haven't played the first one, I suggest to do that first. Both where games of the year for me so far.

This game looked awesome when I first saw Grimrock 1 on YouTube, but I passed on it because of Steam. I just read their main website, and the ad says DRM free + Steam key. Does that mean I can download from the developer's site and install without having to installing Steam? Otherwise I would not consider this to be DRM free. Thanks for the link btw.

I bought my copy through Humble Bundle. I just used the Steam key, but you should be able to download the DRM free version from Humble Bundle.

I suggest getting the original first if you haven't played it.

This looks great, and I am very excited about, especially after watching this GiantBomb quicklook

However, my main gaming pc is hooked up to the TV, and is not conducive to mouse and keyboard right now. I think I'll wait until I move back to the UK next year, and get a monitor

It's an excellent game - I've completed it (both endings) after around 20 hours play. And I've not even discovered all the secrets there. It's a big game - about twice or more larger than the first.

Great game.
