[LEGO] GU 97 Imperial Fighter (Microfighter set style)

Day off from the Asp Scout :D , did a quick 30 minute fun project from bits lying around. Its about 80 - 90 pieces (in keeping with the Microfighter style brick count and scale) for low cost basking.

It also has a chaff dispenser in the module slot too!

Ok, I have to ask, is that box made up or is that a real thing? By the way, it looks so cute having the pilot jammed into that thing. I wonder if that could be used as an incentive for our hired pilots........"Get your act together, recruit or I'ma gonna stuff you for real into that thing and fire you out the hangar!"

The box is a cheeky mock up :D I got a regular box (this was an AT AT Microfighter box originally) and Photoshopped the rest.

Well, congrats on your skills there. I honestly thought the box might have been real. All this Lego stuff keeps me fired up about my own project. I've got half the hull completed now. Taking a break on it though while I finish tuning up the new computer. The old one will be going to a friend soon. However, that Lego itch never goes away and even while I fiddle with my new computer, I find myself looking at my unfinished Lego project from time to time. Once Lego is in your blood, it never lets go!

For sure - that's where I'd get frustrated quickly and end up spending thousands on rare bricks - hence my admiration for what you do mate, the two above are absolutely brilliant, they really do look like the minikits you can get.

Cheers! Its actually refreshing to just make it and its done in under an hour, not to mention photograph. The T-9 was blurry because I had a pie in the oven and was "whats that smoky smell..." and had to run off :D

Yeah I guess these are the opposite end to the asp in that sense! Glad you prioritize the pie though, I would have been disappointed to read that you burned it because of this - or at least your other half may have been a bit cross?! :ROFLMAO:

It's so much more difficult to capture the essence of something when you have a very limited number of bricks you can use. That imp fighter is a case in point. Well played sir!

You need to photoshop some decals onto that GU-97 though ;-)
