I second this give us a reason to fly those behemoth ships a balancing act could be they can only land on airless worlds or “some” tenuous atmosphere they could handwave the lore that pilots can earn the title of captain by buying a federal capital ship after landing at either a fleet carrier with a capital class shipyard that can be accessed by talking to the associated crewman or more direcy via a capital ship construction yard

Maybe I am strange, but, after realizing my 2 elite crew members are at 1.3 billion credits each, I thought, let us have our crew members buy capital ships and run escort to my carrier, or, perhaps, 2 Panther Clippers acting as small carriers.
