Less haters

There are alot of bugs plaguing the game, and people have a right to be mad, especially when their anaconda blows up after they .... deploy landing gear.

There was alot of issues with 1.1. also, and people have the right to complain when a game doesnt work as intended.
Ok, please elaborate the "A lot of bugs"
because last I checked a lot is really "A few annoying bugs" and those have been fixed..even refunds given...and people still complain? Frontier is treating it's customers great, (though the non essential ticket system could use some work)
I think this is why people want haters to go away, though I suspect forum comments and such also is covered under this.

What haters? Seriously, i have been a part of probably hundreds of forums and ED has one of the most polite community i have been a part of, sure there are numerous threads pointing out shortcoming of the game, threads complaining about bugs and so forth, but in half a year i have been here i have not seen a single thread blatantly hating on ED.

Again, pointing out unfinished features, complaining about bugs, etc. is not hating and if you want people to stop pointing out the, for example, shallow missions, the lack of meaningful economy etc. then FD must resolve these things or come on the forums and reassure people that they are listening and they are doing something about this.

Sorry my friend, I think my use of the word 'Haters' was, in hindsight, the wrong term. Of course everyone's point is valid. Please excuse my indiscretion in the posts title.

Most of the issues are down to a lack of CRM but the game still isn't there enough to sell it to friends knowing they'll not regret buying it.

I've told people who are intersted to hold of in buying for six months. I enjoy the game, but it's not really ready for primetime gamers yet.

You are right yes, however I suppose it is not hating no. However it is extremely negative to the point of where the difference between that and hating is something I cannot really see.
There is a huge difference between speaking about a bug and trying to give as much information to frontier so they can fix it faster.
And what seems to be current, complaining and presenting the state of the game as broken, bad, adding nothing but bugs, game sucks and so on and so forth as the vast majority of the complaint bugs seem to be. They aren't trying to spread awareness and trying to get frontier to fix the bugs as fast as possible, they are complaining because they want to complain and do so loudly. And yeah...it gets old, though yes, if you look past those posts the elite community is still a good one, but unfortunately I've seen too many places be destroyed because of such behavior and the fact that it seems to spread, so people are trying to hold stamp it out long before such happens?

Oh I don't know about that, I've seen a few blatant hate threads but they are very few and far between. The vast majority of what is posted in a "negative" fashion for some is a mix of despondency and concern over the games direction or personal tastes I suppose.

People just care enough to post and while they may get lambasted for it by some people that are currently genuinely happy with the game then the game still has a future, soon as people start leaving and not caring then it's game over.

It will be interesting to see come Xmas how the basic game has progressed in terms of updates. I've been around since alpha day one and I do have low moments where I'm posting my constructive concerns but I'm willing to keep the faith until Xmas which will be a year after release. Seems fair to me. The Star Citizen behemoth will be rolling out its enormous self and proving whether or not Chris Roberts has put money where his mouth is around then.

I think I know what you mean. I come on thr forums looking for hope. I joined at Premium Beta. I hardly if ever virtually never play. But there's people here who do. So I live in hope.

I think if they maintain the course ED will be in a good place by Xmas, they've made exellent progress since release so far.

I'm also keen to see how Star Citizen turns out, I always liked Chris Roberts games. I am bit wary Star Citizen just seems to ambitious, he's overpromised and under deliver before with WCIV and Freelancer. Though they were still fun games.

Also looking forward to Limit Theory, No Mans Sky and The Mandate.

I will also sink my teeth into the HD Homeworld, if I can drag my sorry hide away from ED for long enough.

There are no grey areas online.
I made an advance graph showing distribution of internet users based on years of studies:

[White knights/Fanbois ------------------------------------------------------------------------------DEEP DARK VOID OF ZILCH------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Haters/Whiners/Trolls]

I'll sign my book at the entrance, people! :D

There seems to be a lot less hating in the last couple of days, seems the balancing and fixes in the last update and hot fixes have started to sort things out. As an explorer i know i am happy, the 1000 ly routing has made a heap of difference.I also think the shield cell balance and the heat management has made the difference in balancing out ship combat. I think the shield cells favour bulky ships with big power plants giving them a chance of evading pirates but a well balanced fighter still gives a high threat but can't use overpowered missile weapons or UN-heated lasers to vaporize ships on a whim. What has everyone else thought?
Not haters.... Disappointed people who realized Elite was not going to be the full meal they were expecting. And like myself most people who wanted a full meal... have gone else where. The only reason i'm still on the forum is my age and my experience of previous Elites. Just waiting to find out when all the content is finnaly added before I re-install.

I must admit I wasn't bothered about the patch as there was very little content. Logged and everything looked a little prettier. Can now see my ship in outfitting :) Flew into a agricultural hub which was pretty cool. Then looked to do a long route over 200 and the router plotted it all the way, woot! That was such a bind.

Although I have to say NPCs that keep legging it when we're fighting is beginning to get a bit tedious. They seem to run a lot more now. Just need to change my load out so I can chase them down.

[tin foil hat on]

FD wants everyone either trading or playing community goals! Preferably both.

[Stingy joke]
In other words; They want us to play the entire repository of working in-game content present at the moment ;)
[/Stingy joke]

I feel the last patches and their dev focus has shifted to the better post release
