Less than 12 hours for expansion, how is it possible?

Last night I went hunting for the expansion, and it only had like 500 or something points, today, 12 hours later +/- it was 36960. How is that possible in just half a day,

The same happened on the opposition.
Ive never seen anything like this in so little time.

If the combat bonds are gathered over time and then turned in in a short period of time, it is possible to see such increases.

People accumulate bonds over the course of the week and turn them all in at once. 24k undermining is very doable by 1 person, I've done bigger merit bombs myself.
