Let me ask a different way- Is the passenger lounge permanently as is, or are there bugs being fixed

Bugs have been reported by various commanders and FD said that VIP passenger mission are being looked at since the update but not a thing has changed.

There are many other stations that are 1 million plus Ls away from the systems primary star, and all the missions types across the galaxy were affected by the update of 6/28, but I will use the one place everyone knows- Parutis.

Prior to the update you could enter the passenger lounge at Parutis/Evans Port in a Beluga or Anaconda with no faction rep for the very first time and load your ship with one board and take VIP transport missions to MEDB/Vela Dock and make 25 million, or if fully allied make 60 million or more.

This was true at many stations all over with an arrival station a million or more light seconds away from the primary star.

Since the update of 6/28 however you might see one VIP transport to these stations that are a million + LS away on the first board, or you might see one of the missions in 10-20-50 flips of the board, or you might find two on one board, and then not see another for 10-20 flips, etc...

The beluga is practically obsolete now, if you want to fill it with VIP's now, as a a matter of fact you would be lucky to fill an Orca.

But even worse, if you never flip another board, you might find one VIP passenger transport high paying mission with a long SC, in one to 25 or more checks in the lounge.

There is something new in every passenger lounge no matter what station or system, and that is that they are full of passenger missions with very low pay, going to systems that have never, ever, been in the passenger lounge before the update, and there may not be more than one going to the same location.

The way the passenger lounge is in every station now, is that you can carry passengers to different systems, and make 7-8 trips to 7-8 different stations for very little pay depending on how many cabins you have.

The passenger business is no longer a viable career in ED anymore.

And until the update passenger transports and combat at the CNB were my two niches in ED.

There is nothing more for me in ED, I've done it all, and enjoy nothing else.

So I am basically left with nothing else but bounty hunting at a CNB for joy in ED.

So if the passenger lounge is as it will permanently be since the update, I shall fight an hour or two a day until I am triple elite, then I am finished with ED.

There have been bug reports, complete with screen shots, and details.

They go unanswered.

What I simply want to know is if the passenger lounge is going to be fixed, or if this is the new norm.

Are you asking whether or not you should sell your Beluga and get an Anaconda so you can stack passenger missions much more efficiently in a combat vessel since Luxury missions pay horribly for the same time and effort investment?

If so, and you're not hung up on aesthetics, then yes- most likely.

If not, I don't have a clue- as you didn't provide enough information in the OP. ;)

No, there are now rarely missions going to the same place, so you have to stack in a small ship, the Beluga, and Anaconda as large passenegre ships are useless now, just wondering if this is permanent or temporary.

OP when you start your thread daily thread about this tomorrow please remember to add all this stuff from the start, so we'll know you're on about the same thing [up]

If this was (insert your favorite thing to do in ED), you'd be up in arms, so leave the remarks on the curb.

Probably permanent, considering the large amount of salt generated in the forum regarding stacking and mission payouts.

I wouldn't own a Beluga until they actually make it worthwhile to actually have one. It was introduced as a luxury passenger ship- yet luxury missions pay horribly in direct comparison to time and investment reward of say Economy missions, which deems the "luxury advantage" of passenger ships relatively worthless to begin with.

Frontier would be better off removing the restriction from the "restricted slot" and just making it a regular slot at this point.

You love combat missions?

Suppose the 6/29 update completely ruined the mission boards, you'd be upset and make bug reports and posts about it until it got fixed.

A week and then two weeks with nothing done nor said about it and you'd be getting frustrated.

And then, you'd have commanders who spend 90% of their time doing mining, passenger, or cargo missions, or out in the black exploring being smart alecs to you because they are not affected in the least by combat missions being screwed, period, so you are just a whining ninny to them.

Yet turn it around and totally change up the mining missions and those who love mining will be in an uproar, exploration, cargo, etc...

If you are not being affected by the passenger lounge being trashed from the update on, and nothing being done about it why do you feel the need to be a smart alec about it?

Just pass the thread by without a look or keep your smart mouth shut if it does not pertain to you.

Bug reports, detailed reports, screen shots, all a g waste of time.

But since YOUR missions are unchanged or improved does not mean that someone else's game play has not been totally upended by the update and continues to be.

Right now I wish the whole game had been trashed, every single bit, so every player goes into ED since the update and finds nothing but disappointment and then SC fans looked at you and said "What's the big deal?" etc...

I would suggest you do not, but raise a bug report instead. Repeatedly posting the same issue in Dangerous Discussion will not be a good idea.

It has been reported by several players, along with screen shots, details, etc...

All we get is "More details please."

Or silence.

Thank you for the reply.

I thought this was nerfed back in like March, or even earlier, not at the end of June.

Also, I am not a BGS expert by any degree, but it is possible that your own actions have been party to the change in fortune. As I understand it, changes in the states of systems affect what Missions are available, and how profitable they are.

Thank you, but no on both points.

The missions are still there but are very rare.

And about 95% of all missions in every pilot lounge are going to systems that were never in the board before the update, ever.

Nothing but low paying missions to systems never before seen in the lounges, or long tours to colonia, 20k+ LY's, etc...

Actually massacre missions have been bugged for a long time, reported, logged and filed. Nothing has been done.

There are bugs/issues with many of the mission types, all reported, very little gets done to fix them in a timely manner or at all in most cases.

Sorry to say it but........join the queue.

It's not a game crashing issue. If a new patch put whatever machine you play this on up for bid on Ebay, deleted your account and then contacted your mum about your rather scandalous search histories then maybe... MAYBE they would fix it in a a week or two.

Seriously, man, it takes a bit to fix things. Anyone else remember the Dweller issue? How about early 1.2 auto pilot bug that tried to enter the mail slot from the BACK side? Then there was the Powerplay issue when that first dropped. These all took more than a month to fix. Oh, and the silly limpets issue also from 1.3 that made me seriously hate life.

Yes, you are right. It IS annoying. Going on and on about it on an almost daily basis isn't going to get the issue fixed any sooner. Hell, people are still griping about people shooting that them for no reason, yet it hasn't stopped since the very first day I played.

Patience: More than a virtue, a chance to expand your horizons. (No pun intended)
