I got that MkIV but I'd take the LEP, too.

Interesting that they never did this. I had to wait three years to finally win the silent auction. I bet there’s plenty out there would love to get to name something £££££

LEP I see no issues with at all.
Cobra MkIV, here FDev made a mess, as if they made it available, there would be lots of player upset, since they where promised it was a limited timed offer to get this ship. And if they made this ship available it could been seen as a breach of contract, so the best thing you can hope for is Cobra MkIVb Cobra MkV or something, that essentially could be the same ship, so a MkIV with a different name and some very minor visual changes. What FDev should have done was to make it a time limited exclusivity of the ship, lets say 1 year, and after that, it was available to everyone who has Horizons. And we should not be in this mess.
I do not really care if the Cobra MkIV is exclusive or not, but I know some players who are very much against of making this exclusive ship available to the general public now, as it was promised and promoted as an exclusive ship available to defined set of conditions, you had to own Horizons at a specific date.

With regards to the rest - yes, I also want a Cobra MKIV.
And siriusly - no, I don't expect to get one and hope (and expect them) to keep their word.
More siriusly - and I mean it positive (and knowing I might provoke some KoS orders) - I would rather prefer to see some paid content instead of paint jobs and see that money invested in more test and QA staff or wherever required in order to provide updates with less bugs.
Many of the salt comments and resentment might be avoided.
I’m sure if they did another run of the premium boxed editions they wouldn’t be left with any stock left in the warehouse either 
The exclusive is that you have access to the Cobra MK IV in game. Just like any other ship you can buy and sell them as you wish, it's not a one time thing!

Just imagine the debates surriunding the chosen price points and the hundreds of threads that would be spawned along lines such as:
*The game is doomed, FD is trying to cash in before they shut down the servers
*They are selling LEPs, so there must be a long life to come
*I paid x times that 4 years ago and have SFA to show for it
I'm sure the forum entertainment would last for months!

Not true! I've mentioned reopening LEP purchase several times in the past. LEP is a closed club and I want in. Cobra MkIV is an aside, a nice to have.
