General Gameplay Let terrain tool affect area immediately outside map edge

Your Feature Request / Idea
The terrain editing tools don't alter the area immediately outside the edges of the map. If they could do that, then we could finally make our parks be in 1 or more heights all over the place, since we wouldn't have to try to match the height to the height of the terrain immediately outside the map. An even height all over the place, would let us place buildings close to the edges of the map, instead of losing several meters of space around the edges. It's terribly annoying, and not a fun limitation to battle in the game.

This is so true!

While I appreciate the Devs intention to ensure all parks built are not flat lands (slopes make things interesting), terrain constrain is a major pain for careless player like myself.

I think it is wiser to give the freedom to players. The need for having to demolish collateral nearby buildings for terrain constraints may not be the style for many players I suppose. Some people like myself would like to build and progress one step at a time – instead of planning the entire map all at once. The terrain constrain at the border renders modification/progress extremely challenging if not impossible.

I don’t know for sure how to balance things out. Perhaps a quota system like in Cities Skylines can be employed?

I agree with both of you guys, just a tiny amount of lee way would make a huge difference. After 5 staring each island I would delete the park and flatten the land. Even then I got terrain issues for even the slightness uneven land.

Well, I'm happy I'm not alone in this :D This is really the issue keeping me from playing the game. I got so sick of 30% of my game-time being spent fighting terrain constraints, even when doing a full rebuild of my park. It's a terrible mechanic.
