Let us control genes in Sandbox

Since sandbox is supposed to be the ultimate form of control, I think it would only be logical to let people control every gene of an animal such as the size, fertility, longevity, and immunity genes that are present in the market as well as the trait for leucism/albinism/melanism, etc. Like if I don't want albino animals, or if I want to see how small or big something is.

I'm going to have to agree. Sandbox should not limit us down to gene restrictions. Even a slider would be kinda fun!

would absolutely be a nice change to see, would reduce the tedium of buying and selling animals to get ones you want that aren't too big or too small by a lot

i agree with this. its going to be cool to change genes at will. i might use the skin type though (like albinism and color of the fur) more than the other genes

I can't think of a reason for them not to add this to sandbox. It is sandbox, after all. We should have as much control over these sorts of things as possible.

Okay, yeah. I'm absolutely surprised this has not been added yet. I haven't played sandbox since 2021, and to see that this type of thing isn't in there still as of 2022.. that's so weird.
It's literally sandbox... it's literally Planet Zoo creative mode lmao.

This has been asked for in a few topics, and there has been no response from developer in a post or patch notes, so I don’t know if it’s a priority for them

knowing how game dev works it is a topic for them and they probably already work on it (or researching it) but thing like that requires a lot of work (yes, even years it it's not on the top which is not, DLCs would be).
