You do realise that 'brainwashing' is pseudoscientific hokum? The concept seems to have originated in Maoist china, and then been taken up with enthusiasm (oh, the irony!) by American anti-communists who couldn't understand why any rational person wouldn't agree with their paranoid mindset. More recently, it has been applied with similar enthusiasm by 'anti-cult' followers of mainstream religions, who likewise find it difficult to understand why everyone doesn't believe in the same imaginary beings that they do. As a psychological concept, it has zero scientific credibility, and belongs in the history books, along with phrenology and the application of leeches as a cure for insanity...
