Let's address the passenger problem.

Everything is fine! but i found it hilarious that a 737 holds more passengers than a beluga can? for instance. the max size for an economy class module is a 4E which holds 16. a 737 can hold up to 215 passengers. a beluga is the biggest ship in the game. (flyable) an asp is bigger than a 737. the beluga dwarfs the Asp. Can you see where im going with this?

Everyone in the future lives entirely off junk food and is really, really fat :)

I guess that the Cabins have additional amenities to cater to the Passengers. So they're not just boxes with rows upon rows of seating, but have room for walking around, catering; they may also have their own life support systems that take up volume.

Well 737 can carry 215.zip pasangers, beluga carries cabins, which give passangers a bit more of a walking room. You shouldnt compare ships with planes, compare it with a cruise liner which beluga is clearly modeled after. Now that being said, beluga is roughly the size of one and a half USS Midway, USS Midway could easily house 2000 people back when she was a float, so ... Myeah, I would imagine Beluga should hold at least 400 cabins, not 5

737 usually don't operate in deep space.....
737 has no jump capabilities
737 burns kerosine instead of hydrogen
737 has no laser beam weapons
737 has no docking computer
737 doesnt comes with a cargo scoop
737 don't.......
737 don't.......

737 don't.......
737 don't.......
and so on :D

Apart from being able to operate in deep space, USS Midway pretty much had the rest on board, + hundreds of planes, + nuclear reactors that rivaled a small countries power supply, and plenty of legroom :p

Again, don't compare ships with planes

But why would anyone do it that way. The trips usually take 5-20 mins and some take couple hour max so there is no need for alot of space for one passenger. Who would by ticket to cabin with bed, shower etc. if the trip is only take 10 minutes that is much less time than average time people spent in buses. Cabin would be option for long distance travels that take more than 12 h and even on those trips should be the option for just seat not cabin. It doesn't make sense, has anyone seen buss with cabins for passengers in their towns local commute traffic? Someone forgot the scale of elite universe and how long these trips take when designing the passenger stuff.

How many luxury cabins does the 737 hold, and what is their size?

Last time I was on a 737 we didn't even make orbit, never mind interstellar FTL travel.

Spent most of the time circling Heathrow in fact!

ShipLengthWidth

Let compare that to another famous ship:

USS Enterprise 1701-D:
Length:642.5 metres (2,108 ft)
Beam:463.73 metres (1,521.4 ft)
Height:195.26 metres (640.6 ft)

At close to 6x longer and twice as wide, the Enterprise has a crew complement of 1,012. Clearly in Elite even the largest ships are not optimized for human occupation.
Or perhaps in this universe humans have grown to extreme sizes.
