Hi,
I believe it is fair to say we have all been quite vociferous in berating the developers for the glitches in 2.1 and seemingly being obstinate with regard to our wishes for the direction of the game. I have to put my hand up and say I've personally been rather negative about certain aspects of 2.1, and spearheaded certain grievance discussions.
I am glad to say that with the recent update from Zac Antonaci [ <-- Click ] it would appear that our grievances have been heard and measures have been taken to ameliorate the dissatisfaction many felt as a result of the updates unintended consequences. To recap from the update, NPC's are getting stripped of most engineer upgrades, AI is getting a balance pass, new forums are being created for tracking the glitches with overly aggressive AI and malfunctioning weapons such as rapid fire rail guns etc... So now people can go to theBugged weapons the NPC aggro threads and start giving them feedback there, and thus help the devs fix the stuff we don't like.
And just in case people find the stripped of Engineered module but still sharp AI NPC's too much, bi weave shields are back on the outfitting menu
[edited to add this note about biweaves]
[damn it I wanted a couple of those rapid fire railguns for my ships :-( ]
And finally and most importantly in my opinion, they are going to revisit the RNG element to the engineers upgrade results in 2.1.1; Hooray!
So all in all thats a lot of stuff they are giving us, and since the've listened to us all ing about the results of all their hard work; I think its only fair we say thank you for giving us what we have made it pretty clear we wanted. To this end I've put up a simple one option poll above to "vote" will be to say thanks so please chime in if you appreciate their recent efforts.
I am not putting up any negative options in the poll as I feel that there has already been more than enough negativity in the forum about the issues addressed above, and I don't want to add any more trolling to this topic.
