Let's be honest, how many of you play Solo/Private vs Open?

This is a closed poll, no one can see what you voted for. If you answered in the middle somewhere, why? Do you trade in solo and pvp in open? I'm just curious.

If I could vote I would say Open for the most part. I only play solo when I am doing combat in Combat Zones since my poor upload speed makes PVP impossible.

Ive been in solo for 90% of my game. I participated in enough shenanigans in Beta.

I intended to stay in Solo from the beginning anyway.

I go where my SO (IRL friend) goes. If he is on open I do open, if private then private. Just the way things work out I suppose.

Because they are Private modes...those in them have sequestered themselves from Open. Yes, they are different modes, however, for many discussions, they can be put together for this reason.

I would prefer to play Open, but the PvE penalties of playing Open are so severe that I end up playing Solo 99% of the time just maintain cash flow. If there was a reason (or at least a venue) for PvP, I would probably do that at least 80% of the time.

I am 80% explorer, 19% bounty hunter and 1% trader. I play in Open when I explore because the chance of running into someone else exploring the same system as me 5kly+ out excites me. It's like going boating without a plan and running into someone else who is just as enthusiastic as you about the sport. Maybe run into a well-known explorer (I started late). Even when I return to civspace, I play Open because I need to remind myself that the Galaxy is not always a comfortable place and if I die, I have that much more motivation to go out again. I may lost the credits, I may lose the ship, I may lose the discoveries or the cargo.

I will not lose the memories.
