Lets focus on the good!

Been a pretty bad week for moaners and the whole "we're doomed crowd" on these forums so wanted to add some perspective to things as gamers can be a damn right cynical bunch.

Anyway Elite's not perfect but lets look at it this way! We have a sequel to First Encounters that works and is for the most part very enjoyable, it's fully VR supported and looks amazing. Secondly unlike Star Citizen and No Mans Sky we have a working game that is released, being worked on and updated that's making money. Please stop comparing a released product to non released one , and before we talk about bugs legs mention the fact Valve/Steam make millions a year releasing greenlit, early access and bodged games. I'm in full support of other space games however Elite is the one we have and we've no idea what state those others are in.

Lets be positive Elite is fantastic for such a small but hard working team it's not a Blizzard or EA sized title. David Braban and everyone at Frontier are only a year and a half into one of the worlds best next gen space MMO games which will be genre defining like Elite 80s was. So lets stop all being negative be patient and remember we signed up for a long term project here! I have a friend in the games industry and I appreciate how hard the Frontier guys must work and the fact they have stellar forge working and they can even run so many background calculations and instances is great work.

Good weekend everyone!

Shhhh!

Don't you know you will wake "Them" up with your positive prattle!

Oh god, here they come!! You've doomed us all!!!

Huh. Apologies. I though I forked money twice over now for a fleshed out working product bereft of bugs and working as intended that I could play right now since they're charging money.. right now. Patience is one thing but people have actually paid for this.. and as such have every right to voice criticism and concern over the current state of the game and where they see the direction it's taking.

As much as this game fails at times, one of the best successes it has is that it is NOT a Blizzard or EA title that panders to the lowest common denominator.
