Lets Play: What's wrong with these nebulae?

So, I've been noticing a recurring theme here with some of the orangish nebulae I encounter on my expeditions out into the void.

Is someone... or something systematically scooping up large swaths of their matter?! [where is it]

Pixelization is awful.

Yeah, but it's strange that it mostly just seems to be these orangish ones. I wonder if they're using similar models for them, or someone went through "drawing" in the orange nebulae in a sitting and got bit sloppy with it, or what?

Kind of strange that this isn't covered in in-game graphics settings. I run the game on ultra for a reason.

Still, kind of strange that it seems to be the orange nebulae giving me the most unfortunate results like this.
