Horizons Lets Talk about Painite

so before 2.2 Painite was bought for 68-72 000 when a system was in boom , now the best price i found is 42 000 did you (Forntier) change this?
can't find it in patch notes .

and an other thing , i reported a fps drop when mining in ice rings since 2.2 beta 2 , so far not a change , still same fps drop from 200 if you are not mining to 30 sometimes 20 if you are to close to the roid .

Yeah, went to some high tech system in boom with some mined painite and I'm getting 41k something.

I wish they would either confirm a change or a bug on this, at least I would know and stop looking. I don't think mining deserved any kind of nerf.

This is cyclical. at one point osmium was a big deal, then painite, cold temperature diamonds pay well if you find enough of them. It has all happened before.

Can't speak to the prices in 2.2, but I definitely noticed the last time I had to do some mining in 2.1.05 that the quantities of everything within an asteroid had gone down considerably from a few months earlier when I was mining for $$ all the time. Painite prices seemed to be the same as they always were though, so if the average sell price has dropped, it is definitely a 2.2 thing.

I assumed the lower percentages of raw materials was due to the addition of the new metals used for the Engineers and that the entire mining system had gone through some kind of balance pass in 2.1.05. Changes to average sell prices could be the second part of the earlier balance pass?

All I know if that there never seems to be changes that increase the value and availability of things in ED. Everything always seems to get pushed DOWN! :(

I have also sold about 25 tonnes for 74k.

Possibly the system population has now taken part in the price modifier?

I've heard of stories of higher abundance, but see the same amounts as 2.1.

Time to go try to 'Provide 50 units of Bromellite'.

You can still sell painite for 70k. Just did the other night in a boom industrial system.

Thanks for the confirmation. Decided to investigate more and went to a high population Agri-Industrial system to check.

Two top influential factions, both boom state. Went to the one with most influence, 40k. Went to a surface port for the same faction 38k. Went to a station controlled by the second one, 73k.

There must be some BGS statistic affecting this.
