I stink at trying to navigate long distances in the galaxy map and I wanted to see the nebula up close. Here is an easy way to make a nebula run. I did this in my 30ly ASP and there is plenty of scoopable stars. Here is the loop to Witch head -> Running Man and Orion -> Horsehead -> Flame nebula -> A Black Hole -> Home
1. Head to HIP 23759 from your starting point.
2. Plot to Witch head sector NS-T B3-0 - 921.05ly from Sol
3. Head to 2MASS J05362768-0542216 - 1,331.50LY From Sol
3a. Land on 2MASS J05362768-0542216 C1 for great pics of Orion and Running Man
4. Head to Horsehead Dark Region LM-V C2-1 for Horsehead - 1,495.61ly from Sol
4a. Land on Dark Region LM-V C2-6 for great pics of the nebula
5. Head to Trapezium Sector BV-Y D10 for the Flame nebula - 1,414.60ly from Sol
5a. Land on Trapezium Sector BV-Y D10A for great pics
6. Bonus Head to HD43496 for a nice black hole before heading home or exploring further.
I listed the land-able planets but in the systems there are plenty to choose from.
