Level 14 Intel reports shows Imperial Slavers disguising themselves as rescue ships and abducting refugees for profits.

Level 14 Intel reports shows Imperial Slavers disguising themselves as rescue ships and abducting refugees for profits.

Federation authorities have been stopping Imperial vessels leaving the system only to find the would be victims of Imperial slavery crammed in the cargo bay like sardines. (an old Earth delicacy for the uneducated.)

I wish I could say I am shocked by this betrayal of humanity in the face of the Xeno threat. But profiting off of the suffering of others is pretty typical for this Biowaste hole part of space some people call an empire. Most slavers captured so far have claimed to be rogue slavers operating on their own. But investigation and advanced interrogations shortly finds the truth and reveals Imperial officials were involved in the planning of this massive slave roundup in order to boost their struggling slave based economy.

Most notably with ties to Aisling Duval herself. The so called "Princess who cares" her anti slavery stance makes this quite a little mystery. Though Federation agents who have secured positions in the imperial government have all but confirmed that she is the allowed voice of dissent in the empire so perhaps it is not quite such a mystery and more like her mask is simply slipping.
(to explain it simply a vendor sells a shirt saying "I love Johnny Cash/Slavery" while at the same time selling an "I hate Johnny Cash/Slavery" shirt. Or was it Elvis? Either way he profits off both sales. That is how the Empire has approached dissent against slavery in its ranks. They have packaged and sold the idea of there being actual dissent through their puppet Aisling Duval while never actually giving up or losing any power over their people/slaves.)

So consider this propaganda a PSA of the possible crimes that may be happening right under your nose at these damaged stations in the Pleiades by both rogue and Imperial slavers alike. The Xeno's are not the only enemy to humanity out there.

Update: Initial reports suggested these people were being brought into slavery simply to boost the economy but new evidence suggests that they may be using human lives as a sort of "currency" to barter with these vile Xenos.

The Empire is probably paying the Thargoids to attack specific stations too... That's assuming it is Thargoids and not those sneaky slavers fitting 'goid weapons to those giant Dyson vacuum cleaners they call Interdictors.

Im actually gonna stop exploring fer a few months and literally throw meself into grinding empire ranks...possibly the role play aspect too because empire is the only faction that appeals to my role play nature. I have zero issues with slavery...in fact Im a strong supporter of the concept.

Hmm prepare yerselves, the next 6 months could get very messy indeed ^

I'll have you know, plenty of educated and educated British people ate sardines too.

Oddly enough, the last time I was asked to move slaves, they were your standard-issue slaves, and they were being moved from one Federation system to another - so this isn't just an Imperial problem... clearly neither side of the fence is really any cleaner than the other. And then, there are the Thargoids themselves, who have taken who knows how many occupied escape pods, to who knows where, to do who knows what with them - they may be building their own slave labor force, or filling their pantries, or using the hapless souls trapped in their pods as incubators, experiments, or worse.

At the very least, we can be sure that Imperial Slaves are not being filled with bug eggs.

People will often say "well Feds have slaves as well" and yea Slavery is a problem everywhere. But the difference here is that the Feds actually make an honest attempt to fight it rather than exploit and abuse it as the empire does.

Except Imp slaves have more rights than the average Fed citezen. The point of Imp slavery, is not about being a cheap workforce, but about being a way for those in debt to pay back to society until the debt is paid. Essentially, Imp slavery is a welfare program. And the fact the Feds have no welfare programs, speaks for itself.

That is the worst excuse I have heard yet.

"Except Imp slaves have more rights than the average Fed citezen." Lol thats why they are called slaves then...

"The point of Imp slavery, is not about being a cheap workforce" No...That is exactly what slavery is about.

"but about being a way for those in debt to pay back to society until the debt is paid" Uh huh. And the fact these people are so often forced into such debts says so much about your benevolent empire...

"Essentially, Imp slavery is a welfare program." I did not realize it was standup comedy night here on the forums.

"And the fact the Feds have no welfare programs, speaks for itself." Ok but we do. I can show you my Admirals pay stubs and just how much goes to these programs from me personally if you wish to talk with a Federation accountant.

Yet Master Chefs exist in federal jurisdiction and are in fact indentured labour.

Also it doesn't take much digging to discover that economic slavery is the order of the day in Hudson's Federalist prison systems.

True emancipation can only be found in the domain of Delaine. You only have to read the legend on the outside of the stations to know this is true.

Maia's been a cesspool of piracy and open trading of slaves for as long as I can remember. Looks like the rescue ship is causing some unintended effects over there. Maybe someone will take advantage of that to cause a change of hands in stations and just maybe start shutting down some slave markets over there.

[haha] Well, I am laughing my tuchas off at the mis-representation of indenture as opposed to slavery, so it must be a joke.

The entire OP just goes to show that the poster either doesn't read/comprehend, or doesn't care about misportraying, the lore.

At least in the Federation we offer vocational training to service the robot that stole your last job.

That's better than being offered a position as a slave after you spiraled into debt because you lost your job to an unpaid slave.

Who would do such a terrible thing?

"Lol thats why they are called slaves then...". Even IF they were slaves, my point still stands they are treated better than Fed citezens, so you're actually making the Feds look even worse, lol.

"No...That is exactly what slavery is about". I didn't say slavery, I said IMP slavery, there is a difference. Seems Feds can't read either.....

"Uh huh. And the fact these people are so often forced into such debts says so much about your benevolent empire...". They aren't forced, they can stay on the streets if they like, but they don't, becuase unlike you, they are smart.

"I did not realize it was standup comedy night here on the forums". I doubt you hear many jokes in the Federation, they've all been banned.

"Ok but we do. I can show you my Admirals pay stubs and just how much goes to these programs from me personally if you wish to talk with a Federation accountant". Being able to count to ten, doesn't make you an accountant.

Now, if you want real evidence, I used to be an Imp slave myself you know, before through hard work, I paid my debt, and now I've kept my books balanced, and then some, so I know what I'm talking about. (It's my head cannon, ok?).

I think the OP just called me "uneducated" because I eat sardines. Hmmppphhh!
Interesting since they are well known for reducing dementia and improve brain focus and memory.

Slaves are one thing but don't be dissing my sardines!!!😡

I WILL NOT STAND FOR IT!! Oh well I can't seem to stand but that's another topic.

'Tis all propaganda.

The Imps lie, get over it.
The Feds lie, get over it.
Pirates and Independents lie too, get over it.
The Alliance lies too of course, but probably nobody is surprised by that.
I'm sure the Thargoids lie, but I'm still waiting for the translation...
