Newcomer / Intro Level 2/Level 3 Scans

I recently purchased a Detailed Surface Scanner and have used it on unexplored planets. I noticed, however, that under my statistics I sill have no Level 2 or Level 3 scans yet. How exactly do I perform those types of scans?

There are bugs around those stats at the moment, however when they are working you need to sell the data before those will show up. Scanning a planet with a discovery scanner by targeting it while within scan range should be enough for a Level 2. Doing the same with both a discovery scanner and a detailed surface scanner should be enough for a Level 3.

I can confirm that all the scanning I've done with an advanced disco scanner and detailed surface scanner (thousands of systems) has so far yielded zero results on the level 3 register.

Bugged I am betting but secretly hoping it's for a new 'planetary landing and scanning' feature yet to be announced.
