Had a thought about actual tunnels as well. Maybe a toggle between just the normal terrain auto-tunnel & a more realistic brick tunnel etc like they use in real parks
The Connie Express is an important feature for Planet Coaster and was named by Sam Denny in remembrance of of his Grandmother, who sadly passed away just recently. As we have seen, this beautiful steam locomotive will be one of the highlights of the games Transport Rides, which is still under development. AS we have seen in the recent live stream video, the track that this train will run on, has been lovingly made to look very realistic. I should imagine, there will be track pieces, that can be added, to cross paths, with working barriers and maybe other special track pieces, such as points and crossovers. As far as tunnels are concerned, I assume that we may be able to bore through mountains (similar to the coasters) or raise the land around the tracks to create tunnels (similar to raising land over paths). These tunnels will need to have tunnel entrances built, by using the building pieces, unless Frontier can give us several different ready made tunnel entrances to just place down.
The only thing that was not natural with the Trains in RCT3, were the rather steep track pieces that enabled slopes to be made. This is not natural in real park railways, because trains cannot climb gradients steeper than 1 in 40, without having cog assisted track. So really to be authentic, I just hope they let us build track (similar to the coaster spline method) so that gradual gradients can be made, to climb round a hillside. I am sure that Frontier have thought through all of this and will give us a good set of railway building pieces, for running trains around our parks. Maybe a few more types of locos and carriages to choose from as well.
