2014 was an excellent season despite the dominance of one team. Mercedes did a good job of (just about) handling two very capable drivers and giving each a fair opportunity to win. Bahrain was an obvious highlight, with some of Hamilton's recovery drivers from the repeated disasters in qualifying back in July also making for exciting Sundays. I am glad to see there is no double points nonsense next year - it seemed unreasonable that Hamilton could have lost the title by coming third had Rosberg been able to extract a seventh win of the season to Hamilton's ten - eleven wins was an excellent total though, particularly with three of them requiring a pass under racing conditions in equal cars. I am hopeful that there will be more competition next season; Williams, Red Bull, hopefully McLaren Honda and Ferrari being in with a shout at race wins. I really hope Lewis has the tools to defend his title successfully this time though.
