LHS 3447 CG -> new Bluford Station - how it will appear, construction site, sights of station parts during CG

Hello all,

the recent CG was supposed to set a new station into LHS 3447 system. According to GalNet the station is nearly complete: https://community.elitedangerous.com/galnet/uid/56e16a579657ba4715ef0544

When I flew to Worlington during CG I had freaky sights of station parts:

Later I saw a video on youtube with another "sight" of station parts found inside the belts near sun: https://youtu.be/vaN72Gqc1rM?t=2m58s

So - these are just major graphic bugs or there is a station construction site and we can see the new station being built and later transported to the final destination? Would be stylish. A sudden "plopp - station's here" somehow lame.

Unfortunately it is a bug with the game, worlidge tends to wander to Dalton, Dalton pays a visit to worlidge. They have a habit of travelling round the system...

Yeah that looks like a bug on your system. When stations are built they are done in modules, the method so far consists of the devs placeing the basic structure in the new system (idea behind it is the station travels under it's own propulsion) You'll see it's main engines burning and animations of welding, panel missing etc, the station name will read 'Under construction'

Normally over a few months the devs will add new parts with each minor update (simulating the station being built)

Here's an example with Unity station in New Yembo, at this point only the main superstructure is in place.

The problem is that the game mechanic around the stations being build are lacking a lot of activity.
Inside the station you would see a lot of welding work, small drones or even robots moving around, large and small construction parts being put in place and so on.

I know this is a huge amount of work, but there are a long way before it will look like something is actually being constructed.

What I don't understand is why some stations get built faster than others. Obsidian Orbital is a few months old and fully constructed. Newholm in Sothis has been in game for a year and still has the basic structure with visible welding sparks on the outside of the station.

Did the devs just forgot to update the models on each minor patch?

I am sure this is deliberate. The Canonn people at Obsidian are obsessed with detail and completed their station as soon as they could, whereas the people at Sothis are in for the quick buck and as soon as the station was ready to issue smuggling missions, what was the point of putting more effort into station construction?
