Just seen the new CG at LHS 3447, is it just me or does anyone else find it strange that it's being held at a PP control system?

Zachary Hudson merit farming there has just become impossible.

Great idea to have four bounty hunting CGs running together. Previously, the BH CG's were completed way too quickly. This spreads the love a lot further. :)

3447 was my starter system, so they aren't picking on PP players.

I suspect that someone might have thought that starter systems going into lockdown during the PS4 launch might be a bad look. Bountyhunting CGs will guarantee that lockdown isn't going to happen any time soon.

Or maybe it's just to spoil someone's powerplay merits. What a selfish thing to do.

CGs to improve the security of LHS 3447, Asellus Primus, & Eravate which are starting locations, immediately after the PS4 launch.

Seems to be more about making the starting locations stable not anarchies vs any PP reason

Yes.
That has certainly always been the case with PC and X-bone. It's the same galaxy and BGS, just that players from different platforms can't end up in the same instance. PS4 will be no different.
So if PC players put Eravate into lockdown, X-bone and PS4 players are also affected.

Looking at the System Maps, I wondered about the same thing.
LHS 3447/Eravate are already "High Security" (well, for what that's worth) after all... (?)

The script says:

“Many of the galaxy’s independent pilots start their careers in LHS 3447, and we believe they should be able operate without fear of being targeted by opportunistic aggressors.”

“Of course, pilots will not be the only beneficiaries of this initiative – the people of LHS 3447 will also benefit from the increase in security.”

It's simply about keeping the space lanes more clear of aggressive pilots at a sensitive time, is it not? The fact that X-box and PC players won't be able to see PS4 players is beside the point :)

3447 them I hate that system, I started there and went dead 15 times before I could get out of there.

too bad we don't have a NUC to bulldoze that place [alien]
