Community Event / Creation Liberate Sirius - System flippers with Sirius permits needed!

According to the game lore Sirius is the home of the pan-galactic Sirius Corporation, the largest corporate entity in the history of humanity. It arrived there in 2339 and launched the first corporate colonization of any star system.

At the moment Sirius Corp. is no longer the controlling faction in its home system. It doesn't even control any space stations, outposts or settlements. I find this state of affairs very irksome and intolerable. Sirius should be a yellow dot in the galaxy map not a red one. Any threat to the independence of such a ubiquitous corporation represents a threat to all interests across the human inhabited galaxy.

I am calling for the support of any CMDRs with Sirius permits to aid in the, if needs be hostile, re-acquisition of this star system by its rightful owners and liberation from beneath the boot-heel of the Federation lackeys who are currently in power.

Help and advice from those experienced in working the BGS would be very welcome as would efforts from anyone so inclined to join in.

As Sirius Corp. do not control any space stations, outposts or settlements the available ways to boost their system influence and undermine the opposition are:

  • Grinding Sirius Corp. missions from the bulletin board.
  • Bulk selling of black market goods.
  • Extermination of any and all opposition ships in-system.

Anyone wanting to sell on the black market in Sirius should import these items:

  • Nerve Agents
  • Combat Stabilizers
  • Narcotics
  • Tobacco
  • Bootleg Liquor
  • Battle Weapons
  • Personal Weapons
  • Landmines
  • Imperial Slaves
  • Slaves

Please do not hand in exploration data, intelligence packages or non Sirius Corp. bounties.

Goals that I would like to see achieved would be Sirius Corp. in control of at least one of the stations, ideally Patterson Enterprise, and control of the system. As stated before my knowledge of the BGS isn't that great so anyone experienced with it please share your knowledge.

Good luck CMDRS.

So, after 3 days Sirius Corp. influence is up from 18% to 24%.

Now I don't know if this is solely down to my efforts or not, but as this is quite a highly trafficked system I'm going to assume that other players activities are going to work against us as much as it helps us.

Further research states that lower population systems are easier for small numbers of players to have an effect on, at 2.5 million population Sirius is definitely on the smaller end of the scale. I believe that as few as 5 or 6 players making a concerted effort could yield significant results in quite a short period of time.

So far I've been grinding missions but have been hampered somewhat by the mission board at Patterson Enterprise handing out very few decently paying milk-run type missions (this doubly annoying as I would have thought they would push better missions to allied CMDRs). Traveling the 10K LS to Lucifer hasn't always been worth the trip either.

Nearby systems that are selling illegal commodities are:

  • Nerve Agents - Kokary, Foda's Iheritance, planet.
  • Combat Stabilizers - CE Bootis, Asher Gateway & Moskowitz Gateway.
  • Battle Weapons - Rasmussen, Poincare Landing.
  • Personal Weapons - Wolf 359, Lomas Orbiter & Powell High.
  • Landmines - Procyon, Mallory survey, planet.
  • Imperial Slaves - Gommat, Cayley Dock.
  • Slaves - Delta Pavonis, Schneider Orbiter.

All that info was from eddb.io so it may not be up to date, sorry.

I've been smuggling lots of Tobacco and Narcotics from Groombridge 1618 an easy two hop trip away (you can also get battle and personal weapons there according to eddb.io). Unfortnatley this is becoming less profitable now as I think I may have saturated the market with them, both yielding under 1K per ton.

That is all for now.

Sirius Corp. continues to make gains, now at 40% to Sirius Free's 44%.

The selection of missions on offer are now much improved but a word of warning, space salvage missions appear to be bugged with canisters being collected by limpets not registering in your hold (at least for me). They can be collected by repeated visits to the mission POI but it is a less efficient use of time. My recommendation would be to stick to courier missions, deliveries, supplying industry and black market trading for now. Surface salvage missions give less influence but can pay out nicely.
