Powerplay Faction: Aisling Duval Liberating Slaves

One of the reasons I joined Aisling's cause was her stance on slavery. I haven't paid attention to this cause, however, until now. If and when I run into a port selling slaves, if I buy them on my own:
Can I go somewhere to liberate them?
While I get fined for just having them in my cargo hold?
Do I get any credits/kudos/ranking bump/merits from Aisling?

Or is it one of those things where I should only bother freeing them once I get a contract/mission to do so?

Any other pointers or tips into the whole slavery liberation cause?

1) No, but you used to get special missions asking you to liberate slaves (not sure if they still do those but I used to do it all the time).
2) Yes, if you go somewhere where they're illegal and somebody scans you.
3) Don't think so. You only get credits/kudos/ranking bumps from PP specific activities.

So... yeah, looks like, at this time, it's only worth it if you get a contract/mission.

I don't think there is anything more than the missions which requires to giveaway slaves you would have bought... However I didn't saw one of those for a long time, and I admit that's a shame that there is no real and easy way to help the liberation of slaves...
I hope that it will come in the future.. Maybe if there is a player group created specifically for these operations it would be more effective though

I just saw a mission like this yesterday, so they're there. The mission icon had a picture of an eagle with a medical cross inside it.

Was going to take it, but I was too busy grinding my Sirius permit.

Back in February, there was a very popular Community Goal, where you could buy or get Slaves or Imperial Slaves from anywhere and liberate them at that CG starport. It reached its maximum tier in 4 days, but nothing like that happened in the universe since then.

Many have been assuming the slavery mechanics will improve when 2.2 Guardians arrives. The DDA mentions that the only legal means to transport Imperial Slaves is as passengers, not as cargo. Presumably, if this gets added in-game as 'new ISA regulations', then there will have to be a means of recovering illicit slave trading and returning or liberating them.
