Lighting effecting water.

This is a feature I realise may be quite complicated to add but I would love to see the ability to place under water lighting that effects the fountains for example, this would allow for creates such as World of Color or Aquanura, such as seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6ZmCdyZxLY - definitely something I feel would also open a lot of opportunities in the game further afield too.

Yes i was hoping for that since the beginning. I don't know how difficult this is to implement, but if they pull it off it would be awesome :D

Same for recolourable water, that is very high on my wishlist too. Be it Bodies of Water or the Water Effects.

This would be great. They really need to keep pushing this game further, because there are still some incredible things we could do that we cannot yet.

As an alternative, it'd be great to have recolorable water fountains as I can imagine that particles being affected by light is not supported in the engine.

Particles aren't included in lighting calculations except for daylight (and moonlight, of course). I don't think it will be changed as the particle systems already strain performance a lot.
(Try to place an array of smoke emitters and your FPS will drown out more with every added instance)

Very true, so for this to work as we'd hope it would probably have to have a little bit of emissive, not entirely certain how that'd look, I might make a little mockup in Unreal or Unity to see if that would be a working solution.

Otherwise we are gonna have to rely on TMTK, since we can't do particles with TMTK all the stuff that we create will be able to catch light. Though I believe we can't make animated TMTK items with 2 states (on/off) which would make it a bit hard to make it useable for things like shows.

Oli, that's not entirely impossible, i've done just that with my lights (would love to add more objects like that, but can't upload animated objects anymore due to some weird inexplicable bug within the TMT)

Oh nice I didn't know about that, that sounds promising, how does that work? Can you have multiple animations? And is it possible to add a transition animation (Like doors would have)? Because if that's the case I might actually create a show fountain TMTK set
