Lights of civilization

When viewing a populated planet's dark side it would be great if we could see the lights of civilization.

Populated worlds should also have more traffic surrounding them. ships coming and going, orbital platforms, satellites (100s) etc.

Cheers

yup i agree but acording to the development and design forums in the archived section this will come down the line :D

I remember a cool pic about how citys should look like in ED (with a clear diference between fed. and imp.)

Others answered this is coming for lights...

But your comment about the traffic resonates with me. I just do not see enough space traffic around some highly populated systems.

I think Outposts, OK, maybe only a few ships an hour in some cases or maybe hours between ships if particularly remote.

But a big, high populated world with several outposts and stations and we should see space to ground traffic and run into some traffic jams like around some cap ship conflict zones.

And the big factions should have named battle-groups and cap ships spread around whose movements could be mapped by players. And that would include long shore-leave near orbiting space stations with traffic coming and going to the cap ships too.

Hopefully in time...
