Simple is that. When using the SRV its ALWAYS with headlights ON. WHY!? Its no on ships that way. There the lights are ONLY on if you switch them on. As it should be. But the SRV has it on, so i have to disable them everytime. Its just not realistic to have them on by default. Should be changed.

I think it's that way because many times you deploy in the dark and new users might not find the lights and complain about it. I mean we have automatic light switches on automobiles 2000 years prior I think it should be that way on those ships as well.

I didnt mention NV for a reason. Howeverm the NV is another point WHY the current default (lights on) is wrong and should be changed.

There should be no light at all. Btw: the lights on the srv have 2 levels of light - thats all. However, they have to be off by default, not on. Its unrealistic rubbish.

Why is it unrealistic? My car's headlights IRL are also on by default once I turn the ignition on.... I realize this isn't true of all cars (or even most), but it is for some...it's a design choice.

I mean, I won't argue that it may not be what you want, but to argue "unrealistic" for your reason is silly.

I really appreciate having the lights on by default. And truth be told, do I not notice them in sunlight. I honestly don't see the problem.

What would be nice though is that the settings you had when you "parked" you rover was saved, or it adapted to if it was dark or light outside.

I agree, same for the ship I would like.

I always turn lights on in my ship, and always adjust the SRV lights to full beams. It's just a personal preference to always have the lights on when flying/driving. I'd love if the game remembered my choices.
